Belle Cement Mixer Gearbox

Bought this Belle mixer for a job I want to do but it has a gearbox problem, the drum spins freely or with the motor running the drum stays still.
I havn't got it apart yet but will do one day soon.
Looking through the oil fil/ level hole I can see that the gear on the output/ drum shaft is turning freely. Should this gear be keyed on the shaft or how is it fixed on?
If I remeber rightly, the drum is screwed on the shaft but it can't be removed meantime it until I dismantle the gearbox, I can then maybe get hold of the shaft with like a stilson or something and unscrew it.
The worm and gear look good, I imagine I will probably need to get now seals and maybe bearings.

I used a ratchet strap to clamp a length of 2x4 to the drum then gave the wood a whack with a shovel. Also on mine the belt needed tensioning.
